The Black River High School Guidance and Counseling Department is committed to ensuring that the unique intellectual, social, physical and emotional needs of every student are met through personal guidance. Our focus is to provide students with the tools they need to progress towards their educational, career and personal goals. 


We feel very strongly that parents are a part of our planning team and welcome involvement through appointments and phone contacts. We are available to arrange and conduct meetings with students, parents and teachers to help each student achieve success.

Important CCP meeting for Parents and Students
Where - Black River High School Band Room
When - Thrusday, November 1, 2018 at 6:00 p.m.
Who - For any student (8th to 11th grade) interested and eligible for CCP classes in next school year (2019-2020).  This is a very important meeting as parents and students must be counseled and meet deadlines set by the State Board of Education.  Call Mrs. Ford, Guidance Counselor with questions.
**Students who are currently in CCP classes do not need to attend**

  • Requirements and qualifications
  • Steps to follow to enroll in the program
  • Potential benefits and risks
