On February 15, senior FFA Member, Sierra Sturgill participated in the District 3 Public Speaking Career Development Event held at Norwayne High School.
Sturgill participated in the Extemporaneous public speaking event. The Extemporaneous CDE requires members to research an agriculture topic and write a speech in 30 minutes. After the speech is written the member must present the four-to-six minute speech to the judges, and answer a number of questions. Sierra received the topic of “Are we harming our bees?” She earned second place in her division and will advance to the state competition in March.
