How Levy money is being used

The Board of Education would like to thank the Community for passage of the last levy and show the community what improvements are being done with the Permanent Improvement the Board of Education, promised to create. Please  click on our links below to view what has been happening in the district.  Many of the projects you can view, our paving project at the Black River Education Center (BREC), we were unable to take pictures of the Asbestos Abatement do to the process.  However we do have pictures of the ceilings before we installed the new ceiling tile.  The district is also participating in a House Bill 264 project.  We are utilizing new technologies and upgrading both the High School and the BREC with more energy efficient equipment.  This will be about a 10 month project, with our projected savings we will be making changes to the High School heating and cooling system.  We have also received a grant from the Bureau of Workers Compensation.  This grant will allowed us the opportunity to replace our gymnasium bleachers at the High School.  In order to repair the bleachers so they can be pulled out or retracted, the costs were greater than basically replacing them.  The board in conjuction with the Athletic Boosters will be replacing the bleachers.  The Athletic Boosters have agreed to pay the remaining balance on the bleachers for three years.
