The Black River FFA had the opportunity to participate in an entertaining and unique activity, while helping the chapter raise funds to attend the National FFA Convention.. Buckin’ Ohio located in Burbank is a family-owned ranch that offers everything from bull riding, barrel racing, and a crowd favorite; mutton bustin’. This summer on May 27, June 24, July 29, August 26, and September 16, the FFA Chapter was in charge of keeping the grounds clean and maintained throughout the evening’s events. In addition to working the grounds, the students enjoyed watching the different events and learning some new aspects about the agriculture industry and agritourism. The following members participated throughout the four evenings, Anna Shearer, Anthony Liberty, Alexa Shearer, Kaitlyn Kubitz, Cassidy Mrakuzic, Joe Mennell, Brianna Englehart, Hayley Rickey, Mya Kunsman, Hope Diaz, Grace Channel, Lexi Czarny, Morgan Czarny, John Bricker, and Eric Cordonnier. The Black River FFA would like to thank Mrs.Thorsell for extending the opportunity to our chapter and continuing to support several youth organizations and the future of our agriculture industry at their farm.
